Rompa Launches Global Leadership Program to Empower the Next Generation of Talent

At Rompa Group, we believe that our people are the key to our continued growth and success. That's why we're proud to announce the launch of the very first Rompa Leadership Program, a new initiative to identify, support, and grow future leaders from across our global organization.

The program kicked off this month with nine outstanding participants from our units in China, Mexico and Headquarters in the Netherlands. Each of them was nominated through a transparent selection process involving site leadership to identify those with the most potential for career development.

An 18-Month Journey of Personalized Growth and Real-World Leadership Challenges

The Rompa Leadership Program spans 18 months and combines structured assessments, personal development plans, monthly mentoring and presentation sessions, and hands-on project work. It begins with a series of assessments to map participants' behavioral, emotional, and analytical skills, followed by the creation of tailored development plans aligned with their personal ambitions and Rompa's strategic needs.

One of the most exciting aspects of the program is a global project module: participants will be divided into teams to work on real strategic initiatives such as digital transformation, operational excellence, or potential future mergers and acquisitions. These projects are sponsored by the Global Management Team and designed to create real impact while allowing participants to apply their leadership skills in practice.

Global Mentorship and Collaborative Learning: Building Connections Across Borders

Each participant is also matched with two types of mentors: topic-specific mentors for guidance on specialized areas/departments, and a personal mentor selected to match their development profile. Regular one-on-one mentoring sessions, combined with monthly virtual meetups and factory presentations, ensure continuous learning and knowledge sharing across sites and disciplines. 

The first major milestone will be a global kickoff week hosted in China, where the cohort will meet in person, begin their leadership training modules, and dive into their projects. “Bringing people together from Mexico, China, and Europe is part of the magic,” says Maxime. “It reflects the global nature of Rompa and helps create bonds that will last far beyond this program.”

Empowering Future Leaders: Rompa’s Fast-Track Program to Leadership Readiness

While the program doesn't guarantee a promotion, it does offer participants a fast-track to leadership positions when opportunities arise. “This is about building confidence and leadership readiness,” Maxime explains. “We want our people to believe in themselves—and to be first in line when the right opportunity comes.” 

With this initiative, Rompa reinforces its identity not just as a technical and customer-centric organization, but as a company that genuinely invests in its people.
