Rompa Group’s Climate Targets Validated by SBTi

Rompa Group has committed to:

• Reduce absolute Scope 1 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030, compared with a 2024 base year
• Increase active annual sourcing of renewable electricity from 20% in 2024 to 100% by 2030
• Continue active annual sourcing of 100% renewable electricity through 2035
• Reduce absolute Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions from purchased goods and services by 37.5% by 2035, compared with a 2024 base year

Scope 1 covers emissions generated directly by sources that Rompa owns or controls. The Scope 3 target addresses emissions associated with the goods and services the Group purchases, including an important part of the environmental impact connected to its supply chain.

Together, the targets establish a measurable direction for reducing emissions from Rompa’s own operations, increasing its use of renewable electricity and addressing upstream emissions associated with purchased goods and services.

The Science Based Targets initiative provides companies with criteria and guidance for setting greenhouse gas reduction targets that are aligned with climate science.

Before targets can be submitted, a company must develop a greenhouse gas emissions inventory, select an appropriate base year, and define measurable reductions over a specified period.

SBTi Services assesses submitted targets against its applicable criteria and recommendations. Validation confirms that Rompa’s targets meet those requirements; it does not mean that the planned emissions reductions have already been achieved.

This gives Rompa, its customers and other stakeholders a clear framework against which future progress can be measured and reported.

Credible emissions targets depend on reliable data. Over the past three years, Rompa Group has gathered emissions information from across its international manufacturing locations and worked continuously to improve the quality and consistency of that data.

This Group-wide effort has created a stronger foundation for identifying priorities, measuring improvements, and making informed decisions about energy, production activities and purchased goods and services.

The validation reflects the work of teams across all Rompa locations, including the local Sustainability Representatives who have supported carbon-footprint data collection and improvement activities at plant level.

The next step is to continue translating the validated targets into practical action across the Group.

Progress is already being made. Rompa China has operated using 100% renewable electricity since 2025, as has Rompa Czech Republic, contributing to the Group’s wider transition toward renewable energy. Other initiatives include improving resource efficiency, reducing waste, increasing the use of recycled materials and strengthening sustainability reporting.

Rompa China’s recent Global Recycled Standard recertification also supports customers seeking greater traceability and independent verification when using eligible certified recycled materials.

These initiatives address different parts of Rompa’s environmental impact, but together they form part of the same wider commitment: making sustainability measurable, practical and integrated into how the Group operates.

SBTi validation provides a clear direction for this work through 2035. R Rompa Group will now focus on implementing the measures needed to meet these commitments and reporting transparently on its progress.
