Rompa Group is proud to announce that Rompa Mexico has successfully completed a VDA audit conducted by a major automotive manufacturer, an important milestone that highlights our team’s growing expertise and commitment to quality excellence in the global automotive supply chain.

This achievement marks a new chapter for our Mexican facility, which has been steadily expanding its automotive manufacturing capabilities over the past few years. The audit focused on a fully automated production line developed to manufacture precision components for a radar assembly program supporting advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). These systems play a critical role in modern mobility, enhancing vehicle safety, performance, and reliability through intelligent sensors and control units.
Delivering such components requires not only technological precision, but also a disciplined approach to process control, documentation, and continuous improvement. The VDA audit provided an opportunity to demonstrate how Rompa Mexico has built that foundation into its everyday operations.
The VDA (Verband der Automobilindustrie) audit is a recognized benchmark across the global automotive industry. It assesses how well a manufacturing site’s processes align with the stringent quality management standards defined by German and international carmakers. Unlike traditional product inspections, the VDA process audit focuses on how quality is achieved, examining every stage from planning and tooling to production, logistics, and continuous improvement.
The audit ensures that suppliers are capable of delivering products that consistently meet customer expectations for safety, precision, and performance. It also reinforces traceability, process stability, and risk management, key elements in today’s complex automotive value chain.
During the assessment, the auditors carried out a comprehensive evaluation of Rompa Mexico’s production environment. They reviewed the facility’s capacity planning, production performance, and equipment utilization, paying particular attention to cycle time, scrap rates, and machine availability.
Rompa Mexico achieved an impressive score of 94%, earning high praise from the audit team. The evaluators specifically commended the strong technical knowledge demonstrated by our operators and engineers, as well as the structured development of production processes and the culture of continuous improvement evident throughout the plant.
“This result underlines Rompa’s dedication to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction,” said the local management team. “It reflects the hard work, expertise, and commitment of our people, who ensure that every part we produce meets the highest automotive standards.”
The audited production line represents one of Rompa Mexico’s most ambitious automation projects to date. The system connects three injection molding machines and six tools configured for multi-cavity production, ensuring a high degree of efficiency, precision, and repeatability.
By integrating robotics and automated quality checks, the line reduces human error, optimizes cycle time, and enables 24/7 production reliability. It is a clear example of how Rompa combines its deep experience in injection molding and mechatronic assembly with advanced automation to deliver value to automotive customers.
This certification is particularly significant as it was the first VDA audit for Rompa Mexico and sets a new benchmark for future projects. It also reinforces the company’s ability to manage large-scale, high-volume programs positioning Rompa as a reliable partner for Tier-1 suppliers seeking long-term, quality-driven collaboration.

Rompa Group has a long-standing presence in the automotive sector, serving leading global brands from its manufacturing sites in Europe, Asia, and North America. Across all regions, the company adheres to the same core principles: quality without compromise, technological excellence, and continuous improvement.
The success of Rompa Mexico’s VDA audit exemplifies how these values translate into measurable results. It also demonstrates the effectiveness of our global quality management system, where best practices and lessons learned are shared across locations ensuring that every facility meets the same high Rompa standard.
