Many people are still somewhat apprehensive about the combination of Internet or Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI). In other words: applications that are connected to the internet and possess a form of artificial intelligence. However, there are also people who see the benefits of combining IoT and AI. It can make our lives better and easier. The famous American philosopher and technology guru Grady Booch think so too. During a Technology Entertainment Design (TED) meeting, he spoke about the acceptance of connected AI.
Grady Booch is an American IT specialist and a pioneer in the field of modular and object-oriented software development, such as Ada and C++. He is more than just a tech expert, though: over the course of his career, he has received numerous awards for his work, including the Lovelace Medal. It is fair to say that Grady Booch knows what he is talking about when it comes to IT and software (development).
During the
TED meeting, Grady Booch spoke optimistically about the future of AI. He is convinced that AI development should incorporate human values and standards. Watch and listen to Booch's inspiring TED presentation.
