Overview

Genexis supplies fibre broadband equipment to operators across Europe and beyond, including fibre termination units (FTUs) and routers. As the company increased its focus on sustainability, it needed a plastics partner that could support high recycled content, reliable documentation, and continuous improvement without compromising quality or appearance.

Rompa produces plastic housings for Genexis in both the Czech Republic and China, using recycled ABS for white broadband products. Regular collaboration between the two companies helps Genexis track progress on carbon reduction, simplify ESG reporting, and ensure the documentation needed for customer audits.

The partnership has helped Genexis achieve around 70% recycled content in Europe and up to 85% in China. Rompa Czech Republic’s move to 100% renewable electricity has also contributed to an estimated 30% reduction in the product carbon footprint of EU-made FTU parts.
